It's Only But The Beginning...

January 9, 2006

Bye bye Los Angeles and Hello Arizona. My husband decided that he wanted to train out in Scottsdale, Arizona for the combine and for the draft so we set out for Phoenix, Arizona a couple days after my son's 1st birthday. Leaving L.A. had to be one of the saddest moments in my life. As soon as I got comfortable and started making friends and enjoying life with my family the season was over and we had to move. I remember crying to my husband about how much I was going to miss Cindy Wong, Jordan (Anae) Moala, and my Malu Family :'(  and how much I'm going to miss F.H.E. every Monday night. Basically how much I'm going to miss my U.S.C. TROJAN FAMILY. So we said our goodbye's and my sister's and I started our trip to the desert while Tusi and his brothers packed up the rest of the stuff.

A couple hours pass and I start to wonder, "WHY CAN I STILL SEE THE OCEAN?" Then I tell my sisters, "I think we missed a turn." And just my luck I was correct! HAHAHAHAHAHA..... Bye bye Los Angeles and Hello San Diego!!! If I didn't notice that we were lost we would have drove straight into Tijuana, Mexico hahahaha.... That is still an inside joke amongst us girls. Good times.... Good times...

Finally, we made it to the condo and talk about full exhaustion! If I remember correctly my sister's and I flopped on the floor and relaxed as much as we could. The boys weren't too far behind us because they actually went the right way lol... But when they arrived we moved all of our stuff into the condo and everyone went back home and then there were 3. Tusi, me and Baby Inoke. Going from a tinnie winnie apartment with carpet as hard as concrete to a condo with actual padding underneath the carpet and a washer and dryer was definitely a big change for us. I loved it! It was perfect for us! It felt very homely...

SUPRISING NEWS!!!! 2 months later I find out I'm pregnant!!! We were so excited because I had miscarried twice before this pregnancy so with the draft getting closer it seemed a little more nerve wrecking. Now we are planning for 4. We didn't know where we were going to move. We already got comfortable once again being with family and all and Tusi didn't want to move. He wanted to play for the Arizona Cardinals. I was against it. I wanted to go somewhere in the East Coast. Why? I dunno why. Just because seemed good enough for me lol...

Fast forward a bit...Draft day... I couldn't believe how fast this day came up. It was crazy! Definitely an unreal moment for me. Today was the day when we would find out where we were moving. Everything went smoothly. My sister's delivered the desserts and Vilo Vilo chicken was roasting outside. Yummy!!! Family from all over showed up to Tusi's parent's house and it was jam packed. Finally, the moment arrived. Tusi gets a phone call from a coach. Yup! Just my luck again! I don't get my wish to go to the East Coast. It's Danny Green on the phone aka the Arizona Cardinals head coach at the time. Tusi screams, "WOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!! IM' GOING TO BE A CARDINAL BABY!" And everybody screams and jumps for joy. Tusi was so excited that he accidentally hung up on Coach Green lol... So in closing we all joined in a song and prayer to give thanks to the Lord for this blessed day.

Now I would like to take the time to thank my husband, Taitusi Lomu Lutui for all of his hard work and dedication and sacrifices he has made to be able to provide our family with a comfortable living. He is amazing in every way and is my living inspiration. I love and adore this man and I am proud to say that I stand beside him at all times. I love the fact that I am sealed to this man for all time and eternity and I am truly indebted to the Lord for sending me the man I've always prayed for. Ofa Lahi Atu Taitusi Lomu Lutui
