Viva Las Vegas!!! 2011 7's Tournament!

Intense emotions, full body contact, no pads, cuts, bruises, body taken past the point of extreme, high possibility of injury and complete exhaustion. Some people would say that that description sounds like pure craziness. But what we call that description is the sport of RUGBY...

February 10th... WOO WOO!!! We just landed in Viva Las Vegas! Thanks to my husbands arrangements we got picked up and we headed straight to the Cosmopolitan. I love this hotel!

The Cosmopolitan did not spare one expense. This is called The Chandelier. Lets just say it cost over a million dollars for this chandelier. I know right?! Pure craziness... This hotel/casino is not like the others. Usually there is only one accent piece or scenery type piece in the other hotels but not The Cosmopolitan. Everywhere you walked and looked there was a wow factor. It's definitely a must see...

The very next day we decided to check out the team that Tusi & I sponsor, The Provo Lady Steelers. These ladies bring the intensity in each and every one of the games. I love watching these girls play. They always give 110%. I am so proud to say that I have the opportunity to sponsor one of the greatest female rugby teams out there. Oh and by the way just for blogging sake. 2 months before the sevens tournament they came to Arizona and took the tournament. TALK ABOUT DOMINATING IN THE SPORT OF RUGBY! Oh and P.S. After their game I kidnapped my little sister, Tessi Toluta'u.

Friday night rolled around and yay! My husband got our group tickets to go and watch the "O" show and let me tell ya. AMAZING!!! The story line, the acting, the tricks, the acrobats, and yes even the clowns were entertaining. We took our friends with us to watch the show and we were all blown away! This would be mine and Tusi's second time watching it but still we were left in awe. What a great experience to end the night with.

Finally February 12th! The first day of The official Rugby Sevens. We arrive at the stadium and pick up our tickets/ VIP tags and head straight down to the field. This was our view... But before we headed down to our seats we did a little shopping and Tessi did a little advertising for Bula!!! It's very delicious and it has kava in it to help you relax. If you haven't tried it then your definitely missing out!

After the games were over we headed back to the hotel to get ready for the Fiji & J Boog concert. Yay yuh!!! I love concerts! But let me tell you it was full to the max! I swear I have never seen that many Polynesians in one spot other than conference weekend. Lol.. But I ran into some familiar but beautiful faces from AZ. As the concert went on Tom, Martin, Eula and I decided to escape and eat at the cafe. Kaipo? Ummm yeah! WE WERE STARVING!!! After we finished eating Eula and I returned to the concert and J Boog & Fiji definitely brought the energy to the stage. But I could honestly say that I was super excited to go to sleep lol..

Sunday Morning... The last day of the sevens. This is basically considered to be the finals. Only the best of the best were playing today. But I have to be honest with ya... I didn't really watch it lol... Tessi and I were busy walking around and shopping. Oh and too busy eating too. Mmmmm.... Fry bread with Pineapple Lemonade. Wow... I'm hungry now lol.. But we still enjoyed ourselves. We ended up meeting up with my sister and her friends along with my husband and the boys. The boys were mixing at the top of the stadium in the sunniest part. Whoever found that spot was a GENIUS! lol... But they all had fun and in the end that's all that matters. All I remember is Samoa won their game. Can't really tell you who they were playing but they won. After the games we ran into 2 of Tusi's friends that he grew up with. I enjoy being around them cause they crack me up! Never a dull moment ;)

After all of the fun and craziness I was definitely ready to go home to be back with my beautiful babies. I enjoyed my time in Vegas and I can't wait to go back next year. Until next time Viva Las Vegas... ALLOOOOOOHA!!!!
